Building database competency through practical training programs designed for real-world infrastructure challenges

Database Administration Training Program

We've been running DBA training in Rayong since 2018, and honestly, most of our students come from companies that need practical skills—not theoretical fluff. This program teaches you what actually matters when systems go down at 3 AM.

Next Intake: August 2025
Duration: 9 months part-time
Class Size: Max 12 students

Your Learning Journey

The program's structured around real database challenges we've faced working with manufacturing and logistics companies here in Thailand. Each phase builds on what you learned before—no random topic jumping.

1

Foundation Phase

Months 1-3

Start with database fundamentals and SQL. We cover PostgreSQL and MySQL because that's what most businesses actually use. You'll write queries, design schemas, and learn why normalization exists (even if you'll break the rules later).

  • SQL query writing and optimization basics
  • Database design principles that survive real projects
  • Understanding indexes without the academic jargon
  • Basic backup strategies that actually work
2

Operations Phase

Months 4-6

This is where it gets interesting. You'll manage live database environments, troubleshoot performance issues, and learn monitoring tools. We simulate real problems—like that time a developer's query took down production on a Friday afternoon.

  • Performance tuning for queries that run too slow
  • Replication setup and maintenance
  • Monitoring systems before things break
  • Security configurations that make sense
3

Advanced Phase

Months 7-9

The final stretch covers high availability, disaster recovery, and automation. You'll work on a capstone project with real constraints—limited budget, tight deadlines, and changing requirements. Just like the actual job.

  • Clustering and failover strategies
  • Disaster recovery planning and testing
  • Automation with scripts and tools
  • Cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure)

Questions We Get Asked

These are the actual questions people ask during info sessions. Figured we'd save you a call.

Before You Enroll

Do I need programming experience?
Not really. If you can write basic scripts or understand logic flow, you're fine. We've had people from IT support backgrounds do well. What matters more is whether you're comfortable with command-line interfaces and willing to dig into technical problems.
What's the time commitment?
Classes run Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:30 to 9 PM, plus Saturday mornings. Expect 4-6 hours of homework weekly. Most students keep their day jobs—that's why we schedule it this way.
Can I visit the facility first?
Absolutely. We run open houses on the first Saturday of each month at 10 AM. You can see the lab setup, talk to current students, and ask whatever you want. Just email us to confirm you're coming.

During and After

What if I fall behind?
Happens to everyone at some point. We record all sessions and our instructors do office hours on Sundays. You can also access the lab remotely to practice. That said, if you miss more than three classes in a row, we'll reach out to see what's going on.
Is there job placement support?
We don't promise jobs—nobody should. But we do connect you with companies in our network that hire DBAs, and we'll review your resume and do mock interviews. Several graduates now work at industrial estates around Rayong and Chonburi.
Can I access materials after graduation?
Yes. You keep lifetime access to course materials and lab environments. We also run quarterly alumni meetups where people share what they've learned on the job—those sessions end up being really valuable.

Ready to Start Learning?

The August 2025 cohort opens for enrollment in April. We cap it at 12 students because that's how many stations fit in our lab. If you want more details or to schedule a visit, just get in touch.
